BO2 Eye Emblem Ideas and Build Tips

Build original BO2 eye emblems with bold iris rings, eyelids, mechanical plates, and high-contrast focal points.

8 minute BO2 tutorial - Updated July 2026

Treat the eye as a symbol

One large eye can fill the canvas and still read instantly. Build it from an outer socket, pale or bright iris ring, dark pupil, and one small highlight before adding surrounding plates.

For a two-eye monster, match the pair's visual weight even if the expression is intentionally uneven.

Use rings for depth

A dark outer plate, bright iris ring, and dark pupil create depth through flat layers. Keep every ring visibly different in brightness so the eye does not collapse into a single circle.

One small warm accent or glint is enough. Multiple highlights often make the eye look cluttered at menu size.

Choose an expression direction

Straight lids feel mechanical, downward lids feel hostile, and raised inner corners feel worried. Set the lid angle before placing small bolts, eyelashes, or side armor.

Check the focal point

Hide all decoration temporarily. If the eye still holds attention, the design is working. If not, enlarge the iris or increase contrast rather than adding new ornaments.

Practical example

Cyber Eye builds a technical eye through a dark plate, a bright iris ring, and a dark pupil. Monster Eyes uses the same hierarchy twice to create a character. In both cases the bright ring sits directly beside a dark region.

Test the design with the smallest glint hidden. If it still reads as an eye, the core rings are doing their job.

Templates used in this guide

Cyber Eye

Cyber Eye is an original mechanical close-up that concentrates the design on one large readable iris rather than a complex character reference.

Nested horizontal ellipses make the socket, white, iris, and pupil. Two dark plates cap the eye while small orange bolts keep the empty side space intentional.

Violet creates a compact backdrop, warm white lifts the eye white, mint owns the iris, and charcoal keeps the mechanical framing sharp.

Try this variation: Replace the mint iris with red for an alarm-eye variation.

Monster Eyes

Monster Eyes is an original friendly blob character with two oversized eyes and a deliberately tiny straight mouth.

A dark outer blob holds a smaller green face. Each eye has its own dark outline, white field, and tall pupil; the lower mouth holds two small teeth.

Purple acts as a night-like backdrop, green is the character body, cream creates the eyes and teeth, and charcoal holds every expression detail.

Try this variation: Switch green to coral for a different monster species.

Gas Mask

Gas Mask is an original flat industrial face built around two mint lenses and two cream filter cores. It is designed to read immediately at playercard size without relying on military logos or branded equipment.

A warm full-canvas field frames a dark circular mask body. The lenses create the upper rhythm, while the narrow bridge, central snout, and paired filters make the lower half feel mechanical.

Charcoal supplies the edge definition, slate gives the mask depth, mint creates the focal glass, and cream keeps the filters readable against the darker body.

Try this variation: Switch mint lenses to amber for a warning-light variation.
